hi can i grow vegetables in drawers which is part of table that broken. tell me procedure of how start vegetable garden i am first time grower but i like gardening. |
You can grow plants in any container that will hold soil and that drains well. You might want to drill some drainage holes in the drawers before filling them with potting soil. Depending upon how deep the drawers are, you can grow almost any annual, perennial and most vegetables. Tomatoes need 18 inches of room for their roots, but radishes, leaf lettuces, bush beans and peas can do with about 6 inches of soil. Vegetables like lots of sunshine and the potting soil might dry out quickly so be sure to check on a daily basis and water as needed. Enjoy your garden! |
