| You can grow plants in any container that will hold soil and that drains well. You might want to drill some drainage holes in the drawers before filling them with potting soil. Depending upon how deep the drawers are, you can grow almost any annual, perennial and most vegetables. Tomatoes need 18 inches of room for their roots, but radishes, leaf lettuces, bush beans and peas can do with about 6 inches of soil.
