My apple trees bloom, but apples don't arrive in the fall. I fertilize, I prune (they;'re dwarves) I pray. I've had them about 5 years. I think a pest is bothering them - the underside of the leaves has circles in brown and yellow. Can you help? P. S. They're golden delicious. |
If all your trees are golden delicious apples, you need another variety of apple to act as a pollinator. Apple trees are sometimes self-fruitful, but they produce heavier crops if there is another variety in the garden. So, either plant a crabapple tree or a Red Delicious apply tree and your apple trees will develop fruit. Discolored leaves might be a sign of pests or diseases, but often they are just caused by environmental or cultural problems. As long as your trees are flowering and putting out new growth, they are healthy. Get another apple tree and you'll have lots of apples. Enjoy! |
