my tulips came up this spring but didn't bear any flowers just the green leaves, what am i doing wrong

If you removed the leaves last year before they were ripe, your tulips would not have had enough stored energy to produce both flowers and foliage. Allow the leaves to die down on their own this year. Or, if your tulips are planted too deeply or are overcrowded and competing for moisture and nutrients, this can stop them from blooming. So, if you think they might be overcrowded or planted too deeply, wait until the foliage dies down and then dig the bulbs. Best wishes with your tulips.
