I am planting some rhododendrons in my yard, and I've read that they need an acidic environment. Are there any flowers that I can plant in the same area that also thrive in acidic environments? Also, which is the best acidic fertilizer? |
Miracid is an acidified fertilizer, or you can use one especially formulated for Rhodendrons and Azaleas. Apply in amounts as recommended on the label. Hostas, Dicentra (bleeding heart), irises, and daylilies will grow in the area. Most other perennials will adapt to acidic soils so choose your favorites. Enjoy your garden! |
