I have a hibiscus plant indoors, by a sunny southern window, and it seems to be doing well with one exception. It produces nice red flowers but each flower doesn't last more than one day. After they bloom fully, they shrivel up the following day and then they fall off. Is this normal, or what am I doing wrong?

There is nothing wrong with your hibiscus. Its flowers last just a day. That's what makes them so special!

Some people like to take the flowers and place them in a clean glass bowl, like a fishbowl, for use as a coffee table centerpiece or as a dinner table decoration. They will float and look really nice (a great conversation piece).
