How we can get rid of St.Augustine grass from our Zoysia grass? We have Zoysia grass, and both our neighbors have St.Augustine grass which is invading our Zoysia. We have pretty much of it and can't just pull it out (which is pretty hard). Please help us to save our Zoysia ! Thank you.

Zoysia grass may be slow, but it is sure. It grows so thickly that over time it gradually out-competes St. Augustine grass. Since St. Augustine grass roots can reach 4' deep, it's unlikely that you can effectively dig it out, and anything you apply to your lawn to kill the weedy grass will kill your zoysia, as well. If you just allow the two grass types to co-mingle, eventually the Zoysia will win out. So, with the exception of digging a trench between the properties and keeping it bare of either grass, there's really no barrier to keep the lawns from battling it out in your yard. Wish I had a solution for the problem! Best wishes with your lawn!
