I live in Houston, TX where there weather can range from hot to cold, dry to very wet, and mostly humid. Are there any super easy maintanence flowers that are hardy and will last? I am looking for minimal care. I work almost all day but want to enjoy a few plants in my yard.

Some of the lowest maintenance, most drought tolerant perennials are Texas native plants. Here are some of the best for your garden:
Perennial Winecups (Callirho? involucrata); Sundrops (Calylophus berlandieri);
Cutleaf Daisy (Engelmannia peristenea); Purple Prairie Verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida);Gayfeather, Blazing Star (Liatris mucronata); Blackfoot Daisy (Melampodium leucanthum); Pink Evening Primrose (Oenothera speciosa); Foxglove Penstemon (Penstemon cobaea); Mealy Blue Sage (Salvia farinacea); Velvetleaf Senna (Senna lindheimeriana); Four-Nerve Daisy (Tetraneuris scaposa); Greenthread (Thelesperma filifolia); Zexmenia (Wedelia texana).

Enjoy your garden!
