Please recommend some fire resistant shrubs we can plant along the back wall of our home.

You'll want to use some herbacious perennials interspaced between your shrubs, as they are less likely to fuel a fire. Try barberry, bush morning glory, cotoneaster, daylily, dwarf pittosporum, gaura, jade plant, sedum, vinca, and myoporum.
