Medinilla is from the Phillipines where it enjoys warm temperatures and high humidity. It may be that your plant is showing signs of stress from overly dry air or overwatering. Medinilla magnifica grows best in bright light, a minimum temperature of 65 degrees and rich, organic, well drained soil. Water well during flowering periods, but less when it is not flowering in the winter months. Consistent high humidity is essential so you may want to either mist your plant on a daily basis or set it on a gravel filled tray in which you keep a half inch of water. As the water evaporates it will increase the humidity around your plant. Hope this helps!
