|How hard is it to move (transplant) peonies?

|It's not too difficult to dig and transplant peonies but they don't like to be disturbed so I usually sneak up on them in the winter when they are dormant and move them then. In the spring they barely know they've been moved and will flower as usual in their new spots. If you can wait, I'd suggest doing so. If you can't wait and your peony has already sprouted new growth, you can dig and move it but it may not flower for you this year.
