| Climbing roses bloom on laterals that develop on upright stems so if you have not pruned your rose, it may be simply growing long upright stems with no laterials. Climbers that are arranged horizontally on arbors, trellises or fences can bloom for many years on the same older canes. Prune your Cecil Bruner back now and I think you will see a difference in its ability to flower. |
