|We live in corona, Ca.
I used to live in Yosemite and really like the woodland and meadow look, but not sure if that will work for our area.
|The woodland and meadow look won't work well in your new gardening region. The soil is different and so is the summer weather. I think the best approach is to plant shrubs and perennials tolerant of the summer heat. Here's a list of plants developed by the City of Lancaster which is the same gardening zone as yours. You can learn about the best plants for your area: http://www.avrcd.org/detailed_...
Good luck with your new garden!
