We live in corona, Ca.
I used to live in Yosemite and really like the woodland and meadow look, but not sure if that will work for our area.
Thank you

The woodland and meadow look won't work well in your new gardening region. The soil is different and so is the summer weather. I think the best approach is to plant shrubs and perennials tolerant of the summer heat. Here's a list of plants developed by the City of Lancaster which is the same gardening zone as yours. You can learn about the best plants for your area: http://www.avrcd.org/detailed_...

Good luck with your new garden!
