I planted cukes and limas as seeds. TWO came up. It has been 4 weeks and still nothing. I have more seeds. Should I soak them before planting? THe bean seeds were rotted and the cuke seeds were still hard as rocks. What now?

Soaking isn't usually necessary, but it is important to keep the seed starting mix moist but not soggy wet. Both seeds will germinate fastest when the soil is warm so try using a heating cable or setting your seed starting trays in a warm place such as the top of a water heater. Good luck with your seed starting venture!
