I bought a dogwood last year and planted in late spring/ early summer. The tree has always looked like it is dying or dead shorlty after I planted it. It does show signs of new growth on every limb but it has greyish tips and as of right now is not showing any foilage. Is this normal and of not what can I do to bring it back to life? |
The grayish tips might be flower buds so don't do anything radical at the moment. Dogwoods can take a year to become established and can look puny until the roots have ventured out into the soil enough to support and feed the tree. Just water it deeply once a week and give it a little more time. Once it begins to bloom it will be worth the wait! |
