|The leaves on my peach trees are all curled up, what can I do to remedy this problem? What is the effect on the fruit? Can it be cured completely?|
|Peach Leaf Curl is caused by a fungus that overwinters on bark, twigs and old infected leaves. Be sure to clean up and destroy any leaves or fallen fruit at the end of the season. Your tree will shed the most infected leaves so pick them up and throw them in the trash when they fall. The disease is best prevented by applying a fungicide to the tree in the spring, just as the buds begin to swell. Lime sulfur can be used to protect your tree next year.
Fruit production will be decreased and the fruits may have a reddish, irregular, and rough surface.
