My beautiful azalea tree, which has bloomed in early spring for the last 15 yrs, didn't this year. It had lots of tiny buds, but then they all turned brown, and look dead. The rest of the tree looks fine. Please help.

Flower buds are the most frost sensitive of all plant parts and I think your azalea suffered from a late frost. The buds are usually formed in late summer so they hang around waiting to open. Warm weather can prompt them to prepare to open and an overnight frost can kill them. This sometimes happens so I'd chalk it up to winter kill and look forward to new flowers next spring.
