I bought my gala apple tree from home depot. And i asked the gardener about the pollination of apple tree. His answer was that all trees in nursery are self pollinator. Thats why i bought only one apple tree.and none of my neighbors has apple tree. What you suggest that i should buy another tree or trust the nursery supervisor that this tree is self pollinator.
thanks

Gala is considered self-pollinating but as with all apples, a second tree will ensure a heavier fruit set. You will get apples from your Gala apple tree if it is the only one in your landscape. If you decide to plant a second tree Red Fuji or Red Spur are good choices for cross pollination.
