weeping willow trees - Knowledgebase Question

Our tree is 2 years old , about 15 ft. tall and the top branches are mostly going to 1 side.The tree looks like it might fall over.Are we supposed to trim the top branches and how ?

As your tree matures it should become more symmetrical. Pruning will encourage new growth but pruning the very top of the tree is not a good idea. Juvenile trees often look lopsided but eventually they straighten up and grow right. Just be a little more patient with your weeping will and it will turn into a beautiful specimen.
