East Peoria, Il
Question by thesinns

I just purchased 12 of these beautiful plants. I know that they are an annual in Illinois...but, aren't they a bulb? Can I dig the bulb in the fall...store them...and plant in the spring?
Thank you,
Connie

Yes, you can dig and store the corms for replanting next spring. After the foliage has died down but before a heavy frost, dig the corms and store them in a cool, dry place. You can replant in the spring, after the soil has warmed. Enjoy!
