I have planted several Bouganvilleas. I live in Central Florida. They are not doing well at all. I'm not sure if I am pruning them correctly. Can you advise me?

Bougainvilleas grow and bloom on about a 6 week cycle. After they bloom they rest for a few weeks and then they grow and new flowers are produced on the new shoots. You can prune yours back at any time, to just about any height or size and when the plants have finished resting they will develop new flowering shoots. There's not much you can do to change this cycle. As a gardener, all you can do is just anticipate their spurt of growth and the new flowers they will eventually produce.
