Brusfelsia pauciflora 'Floribunda' is the botanical name for Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. The common name comes from the quick color change of the blossoms: purple (yesterday), lavender (today), and white (tomorrow). The plant is native to Paraguay and grows best where nighttime temperatures remain above 50F degrees. It will grow in full sun to part sun (minimum 4 hours of sunshine for best bloom). These plants are heavy feeders so remember to feed it about every 4 weeks and it should thrive. I use Miracle Gro 20-20-20. The liquid is the easiest to use because there's no fear of overfeeding, but you could use a time release fertilizer such as Osmocoat and sprinkle it around the base of the plant. If you use time release, apply it only once because it lasts about 3 months. Water deeply once a week - twice a week if the weather is hot. If it is in a container, you may need to water more often. Allow the top half inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Enjoy your new plant!
