I have moved some hostas from pots to the ground. I noticed that the plants I put in the ground two weeks ago have small holes in the leaves. What could be causing this?

Slugs and snails love hostas so look for shiny slime trails on the leaves or soil near the plants. Or, go outside after dusk or early in the morning to see if you can catch them in the process of feeding. If you find any you can use one of the iron based controls such as Sluggo.
