|When little squash die it is usually because the blossoms where not pollinated. Squash plants develop both male and female flowers. Insects transfer pollen from the male to the female flower and a fruit results. If the female flower is not pollinated, it begins to form a fruit but then stops because there was no male pollen there to complete the process. As the summer progresses you squash plants will have plenty of male and female flowers and there should be plenty of insect activity, and therefore lots of squash. Enjoy your harvest!
