|If you have veronica in your lawn, it's a sign that the grass isn't competing well. Healthy turf should be able to crowd out the veronica, which spreads between thin grass plants. I recommend a lawn care program that will beef up the turf and beat out the veronica. Gardener's Supply Co. (www.gardeners.com; ph# 800/863-1700) has a free bulletin on lawn care that has all the basics to building up your lawn from the ground up. Fall fertiizing and high mowing are recommended specifically for this plant - the first feeds grass when the weed is not in active growth, and the second helps shade out the creeping weed. Good luck to you!
