We are looking for a very resistant fragrant climbing rose for our backyard. What would you recommend us? We live close to Cleveland, Ohio, so we have here pretty cold in winter. How much they usually grow during one year? How many of them should we plant on 1,5 yard? Thank you, Hana

Climbing roses are not as hardy as shrub roses but the following should perform well for you:
John Cabot
John Davis
William Baffin
Ramblin' Red
Henry Kelsey

You can do a web search to see the colors and growth habits of each. Good luck with your new roses.
