|i have never grown roses before. i would like to plant some rose bushes in my yard. what is the easiest rose bush to plant without a lot of maintenance?|
|Roses vary widely in their ability to resist disease. Rugosas, David Austin, and other "landscape" roses are generally very disease-resistant. Hybrid teas are generally regarded as the most disease-prone. With this in mind, Gertrude Jekyll grows 5-6' tall, with sturdy stems filled with deep pink flowers and a damask fragrance. Graham Thomas, 4-6' x 6' upright, slender and bushy shrub with medium green foliage. Lovely tea-rose fragrance from large cup-shaped rich yellow blooms.
Heritage 4? x 4? bushy compact habit with dark green glossy foliage. Large cup-shaped sprays of blooms of the purest and clearest shell pink throughout summer. Strong Old Rose fragrance with lemon overtone. Or, Iceberg, 3? x 3?, true white double blooms in flushes through-out the season. The most hardy, vigorous, floriferous, and disease resistant rose available.
