I have 5 small boxwood shrubs in front of my house and they are turning yellow on the sides. In the winter, they seem to be green and nice but in earlier spring we noticed that they are not so green and some branches are turning yellow.
Can you please advice what to do with the yellow branches? perhaps they need some fertilizer or pruning.
thank you so much for your help
|Dog urine can cause the symptoms you describe, as can some kind of root stress. I would give the boxwoods a light shearing, both to remove most of the yellowing leaves and to encourage healthy new growth. You can feed them with a granular, slow release general purpose ferilizer (such as a 10-10-10). Let's hope they recover and turn a beautiful green again!|
