|A four year old loquat will bear fruit. Your tree may be old enough to bear fruit this year. Plant by digging a hole as deep and slightly wider than the nursery container. Rough up the sides and bottom of the hole, set the tree in the hole and backfill with the soil you took out of the hole. Tamp the soil down and then water it deeply once each week. It should establish itself in a few weeks and you should see new growth. Best wishes with your landscape.
