When should I prune my barberry, boxwood and holly bushes? They are growing tall and scraggly. I would like to keep a more rounded, bushy shape. They are about 3 - 4 years old. Thanks!

Spring is an excellent time to prune your shrubs. If you prune every spring you can keep your shrubs looking neat and compact. You can shear them with hedge trimmers or you can selectively shorten overly long branches to make them more attractive. Enjoy your garden!
