I have a garden that I recently transplanted, it contains spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, red cabbage, and cabbage. The plants look healthy for the most part, but the leaves closets to the ground are browning. What is the problem.

When the lower leaves brown on newly transplanted vegetables it is usually due to heat radiated from the soil. It is normally nothing to be concerned about. You can try using a compost mulch around each plant to help keep the soil cooler but as your plants grow they won't be as close to the soil and won't be as affected. Hope you have a great harvest!
