My husband bought me an Orange Star plant for mother's day. I need to know when I should repot it as well as general care and what kind of plant food I should get for it. |
Guzmania lingulata is the houseplant called Orange Star. It does best in bright indirect sunlight, near an east or west window and it appreciates high humidity. If you repot, use a rich potting soil or one made for African Violets. Keep the soil evenly moist at all times and feed every 3-4 weeks with a half strength dilution of water soluable fertilizer (such as Miracle Gro). Enjoy your new plant! |
