I just bought some beautiful roses, I went home planted them and 2 weeks later they look so sad. The leaves are yellow and the rose petals are wilting. What did I do wrong? |
As long as you are watering your new roses on a regular basis I think the yellowing leaves and wilting flowers are just symptoms of some transplant shock. As soon as the roots establish themselves in your garden, the roses will perk right up. In the meantime, remove all the flowers so the plant can concentrate on establishing its roots rather than developing and supporting flowers. Another week or two should be plenty of time for the plants to perk up and start putting out new growth. Just be patient with your roses. |
