| My neighbor gave me an ivy geranium in a hanging basket for Mother's Day. It did not thrive on my patio with little sun. I move it to a full sun locAtion. It still is dropping leaves. What is the best location and how much water does it need? Thank you! |
| Ivy geraniums should thrive in full sunshine but since you had yours first in the house and then in a shady spot, the leaves it produced will not be able to survive in bright light. That is why it is dropping leaves. I would trim the plant back to encourage healthy new growth - new growth that will be more adapted to full sunshine. Water thoroughly and then let the top of the soil dry out slightly before watering again. You should be able to touch the soil with your finger - when it is dry to the touch, water your plant.
