Are there any practical uses for four o'clocks? It seems a bird donated one last summer, and it turned out to be very invasive. I'm trying to decide if I should eradicate them completely. |
Mirabilis has a couple of redeeming qualities: the trumpet-shaped flowers are attractive, and the plant needs no water once it's established. On the other hand, it self-sows freely, and grows quickly to form clumps 3-4 feet high. It is considered an invasive perennial plant. |
