We just started gardening this year, and one of our attemps have been Brussels sprouts. The leaves are very large, and healthy looking, but we don't know where the sprouts grow.

Your Brussels sprout plants will grow a long stem, where the sprouts will develop. The plant will look a little like a palm tree - leaves on top, long stem, and then little sprouts. Harvest sprouts when they're about on to one and a half inches in diameter. Brussels sprouts are a cool-season plant and prefer to mature in the fall or early spring months. If your plants bolt instead of producing sprouts, it's because the weather is too warm. Good luck!
