|We just started gardening this year, and one of our attemps have been Brussels sprouts. The leaves are very large, and healthy looking, but we don't know where the sprouts grow.
|Your Brussels sprout plants will grow a long stem, where the sprouts will develop. The plant will look a little like a palm tree - leaves on top, long stem, and then little sprouts. Harvest sprouts when they're about on to one and a half inches in diameter. Brussels sprouts are a cool-season plant and prefer to mature in the fall or early spring months. If your plants bolt instead of producing sprouts, it's because the weather is too warm. Good luck!
