As sugessed, we sprayed our sago palm that had fungus, and later removed all the dead fronds. A cone which holds the new fronds came up about three weeks ago. It has grown in size, but remains unopened. Should we fertlize the sago, if so what should we fertilze with, or is our Sago in trouble because it has not opened up. How long does it take for the process to happen.

Sago palms are extremely slow growing and put out only 3-4 fronds per year. If the center is enlarging it means it is ready to put out a new frond or two. Just be patient with your plant. Don't feed it until it has some healthy new fronds. Good luck with your sago.
