|Apple trees go through a natural thinning process (usually in June) and you should also thin the apples so there are only 2-3 per cluster. The remaining apples generally stay on the tree until they are ripe. If your tree is dropping all the apples, they may not be fully pollinated. You need two different types of apple trees so the bees can transfer pollen from both trees so you will have a heavy crop on both trees. Hope this clarifies things for you.
