the blooms on the squash will not open. I have been feeding with fish fertilizer every 2 wks.

Temperatures over 90F can affect the flowering of your squash, as can shady conditions. It's early in the season. I think your plant will produce for you when the growing conditions are right and it matures a little more. Continue giving it lots of good care. Best wishes with your summer squash.
