|I live in nyc and own an apt in a coop w/ gardens that I have adopted. I would like to know if there is a city oriented software prog out there? I have the unique backyard where cement surrounds 6 large rectangular raised open beds. Thank you|
|I'm familiar with a software program called LanDesign. It allows you to choose plants and then watch them grow to maturity so you'll know whether or not there's room in the garden. Perhaps another approach is to sketch out the beds on graph paper and then do some research as to which plants grow best in Brooklyn and sketch the plants out in the beds so you will have some idea of how they will look. Cornell Cooperative Extension, 1360 Fulton St # 400, Brooklyn - (212) 340-2995 will have publications of perennials, shrubs and vegetables to help you plan your garden.
Good luck with your project!
