Hi! I have a 2nd story balcony on my house that faces north. Have been wanting to plant something impressive in pots up there that will look full and lush and trail down the sides of the house. It does get a good amount of morning and late afternoon sun, but is otherwise shady. How well would bougainvillas do for this job? If not well, can you recommend something that would work?

Bougainvilleas will cascade down the sides of the balcony and look quite impressive. Phlox or snow-in-summer (cerastium tomentosum) might also work. Trailing rosemary or sunroses (Helianthemums) would be an interesting addition. Hope some of these plants work for you!
