|My mom's Christmas Cactus leaves are turning a pinkish or purple color. What can she go to fix the problem?|
|The pink or purple coloration onf Christmas cactus leaves maybe be too much sun on the plant or a phosphorous deficiency. Christmas cactus like bright, but filterred light, so don't let the plant's get too much sun, especially afternoon sun, on the leaves. |
Also, the plants are actively growing this time of year so be sure to fertilizer with a balanced fertilizer. I like using Osmocote, a time release fertilizer. The pellets are sprinkled in the pot and every time you water, fertilizer is automatically released. It should be available in garden centers.
