Why does my dog keep eating my hostas?
I have tried:
*a fence...too short she stepped over it!
*netting tied to the fence...she pushed it away and stepped into it!
*crushed red pepper...ate the hosta anyways-like thanks for the seasoning!
Please help me save my hostas!

Sometimes animals eat certain plants because their intuition tells them it has a medicinal quality they need. But I cannot find any reference to a medicinal value of hosta leave. I think they like the crunchy stalks. The hosta aren't harmful to pets, so that's a plus. You might want to phone your vet's office to see what other information they might have.
