Can plum tomatoes be grown now, in the summer, in Florida?

Small fruited tomatoes like cherry, pear and plum types set fruit better in the heat than large-fruited types. The skin tends to get a little tough in the heat, but in the south, a July or August tomato is a welcome thing!

Tomatoes can also be planted for fall during July. This gives them time to grow and set fruit in the cooler days of fall. Good luck with your plants!
