Mildew on roses - Knowledgebase Question

We just bought an older home with a lot of roses that hav4 not been taken care of. We have an extreme case of mildew on a white rose .Do I have to remove it or can I fix it

Some roses are more prone to diseases than others so I would suggest living with the roses for a year or two. If they seem to be constantly in need of preventative sprays, you might want to replace them with some of the newer, more disease resistant roses. Funginex will control fungal diseases on your roses. I'd also prune the roses to open them up to better air circulation. Once you've gotten the roses in better shape, they may grow disease free all season long. Hope so!
