The little mites can be controlled with insecticidal soap sprays. The white lines in the leaves are evidence of leaf miner insects. The adult lays an egg just inside the leaf and when the egg hatches the little larva feeds on the tissues between the upper and lower surfaces of the leaf. They are protected inside the leaf so no pesticide sprays are effective against them. They don't really harm the plant, just leave funny looking tunnels in the leaves. There's not much you can do to control these pests. You can cut off the affected leaves or squish the larvae within the leaf. Good luck with your garden!
