My patience runs short with new plants. When the tag on the plant gives you a slow, medium, or fast growth rate how long does each time frame mean?

When trees and shrubs are classified as slow, medium and fast growers, it means that under optimal growing conditions a slow grower will develop less than 12" of new growth per year, a medium growth rate equates to 13-24" per year, and a fast grower will develop 25" or more new growth each year. Hope this clarifies things for you.
