|I just planted 2 plants about 3 weeks ago. The plants are planted in pots. The 2 plants that are in the shade are doing fine, the plants that are getting about 5 hours of sun every day are getting brown leaves?
I have been watering the plants every day.
|Your new plants are probably just adjusting to their new homes. It is possible that they were growing in a partially shaded area in the garden center and are not used to hot afternoon sunshine. As new leaves and stems develop on the puny one, they will be more tolerant of full sunshine. Since they are trying to become established it might be best to move the ailing one into a spot protected from afternoon sun. When you start to see new growth you can move it into morning sun. Once it begins putting out lots of new growth you can move it into a sunnier spot. If it still shows signs of distress, I think I'd baby it along until it adjusts to your garden. In late summer or early fall, when the sunshine isn't quite so intense you can move it back into the full sun place in your garden.|
