Leaf drop on citrus almost always has to do with water stress. Too much or too little can cause leaf drop. Citrus like moist soil but the soil should be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Flood the soil to wet the entire root mass then wait 10-15 days and flood it again. Allowing plenty of water to percolate down and wet the entire root mass will keep your citrus trees healthy and happy.
