I live in Abq. NM, zone 7. Last Wednesday we planted a yellow lady banks rosa. After planting, I noticed powdery mildew and treated it with a lite coat of fungicide. Instructions warned against using on new plantings. When can I treat again. And how often can I apply root stimuator? How hardy are they?

Lady Banks roses are reasonably disease resistant so I suspect that your plant was crowded in with some diseased roses and was not getting enough sunshine until you brought it home. Now that it has lots of sunshine you can prune away the affected foliage and stems to get rid of the disease and you should not have to use a fungicide again. If for some reason the new growth your rose produces begins to show the powdery mildew disease again, apply a fungicide again. Root stimulators should only be applied once. Lady Banks Roses are very hardy and should grow and thrive in your garden without any special care. Enjoy!
