I have bell pepper and bananna pepper plants that are blooming just fine ,but something keeps eating the leaves off of the plants. |
If the leaves are being eaten completely I'd suspect caterpillars or slugs/snails. Check the leaves over carefully several times a day. Caterpillars are voracious feeders but they are the same color as the leaves and can hide underneath. If you find any, handpick them or use Bt (sold as Dipel or Thuricide). Bt targets caterpillars but nothing else. Or, if you don't find caterpillars, night feeding slugs or snails may be the culprits. If so, Sluggo works wonders with their control. Best wishes with your pepper plants. |
